Leveraging video is one of the best, if not THE best, ways to build the “Know, Like & Trust” factor.
The reason why video works so well is that it gives people the opportunity to connect with you on a more personal level. Not only we process information we have acquired visually way faster than any other type of information, but by using video people can actually see you. Your audience can see your expression, your hand gestures and other non-verbal communication you may be using.
This doesn't happen for a blog post and happens, though it isn't a strong as in video, for a podcast.
Today, getting started with video is easier than you think. In some of the past podcast episodes I talked about how you can begin with pretty much nothing more than your smartphone.
But what should you do, once your videos are ready to be shared with the world or have already been shared and you want to store them?
This podcast episode focuses on different video hosting platforms you can use to store your videos. Whether it's videos you want to share with a global audience or are more exclusive footages created for a small group of people. In this episode I go over both cases, so that you're going to have more clarity as of when you need a video hosting service (and why) and when it's not really necessary.
In case you're looking for ways to quickly get started with video, I touch on a couple of apps that will allow you to do that too.
In This Episode, You'll Learn More About
- The first question you should ask yourself, when it comes to video
- How to easily store your videos and create your own video archive(s)
- How to make sure your videos don't slow your site down
- When it's good to use a video hosting service
